Professor Hargrave, a native Oklahoman, received martial arts training from instructors located throughout the United States. Here is one of Hargrave first of many successful black belt tests along with 6th degree black belt Jon Patton one of the World Jeet Kune Do Federation and World Kempo Association Attorneys.
In 1993 he received the Instructor of the Year award for his teaching in the art of Jeet Kune Do, the style founded by Bruce Lee, and was also inducted into the World Martial Arts Hall of Fame. This award presented by Professor Gary Dill.

In 1995 Hargrave was the youngest person to be promoted to Professor
of martial arts and he received the Instructor of the Year award
for his teaching in Karate. In 1996 he received the award for
Best Martial Arts School in the United States, and was recognized
by U.S. Congress and the United States Senate for this achievement. In his spare time he volunteers teaching medical missionaries who go to hostile countries to administer emergency life services.
Hargrave holds instructor / black belt rankings in Kempo Karate,
Kung Fu, Goshin Jutsu, Jeet Kune Do, Aiki Jitsu, Tae Kwon Do,
Escrima, and is the author of three martial arts books.
Hargrave is the founder of the styles known as Combat Martial
Arts and American Combat Kempo which he introduced in 1992,
and in 2000 was presented the International Founders Award by
Dr. E.A. Moore (President of the World Martial Arts hall of Fame) for the defense system. Hargrave is President of two martial
arts organizations. His system of karate American Combat Kempo is the basis of the training of the all United States Marines as of 2000.
Hargrave is married to an artist and is the father of two accomplished children, as well as enjoying activities
outside of the martial arts such as hot air ballooning, and skydiving. He
is also an avid collector of antiques and is an enthusiast of various fast
vehicles as well as being a helicopter pilot. It is Professor Hargrave's primary
goal to promote his martial arts, weapons, and firearms systems training throughout
the world.
